Don’t forget this Saturday 27th September it’s the Leeds and Bradford Anarchist Bookfair.

On Saturday 27th September the first Bradford and Leeds Anarchist Book Fair takes place at the 1in12 Club in Bradford. The Book Fair will begin at 10:30am and run until 4:30pm. Entry is free to members of the public.
The Anarchist Book Fair is part of Recon Fest, a celebration of pioneering, experimental and innovative music of art and film taking place over the cities of Bradford and Leeds.
An Anarchist Book Fair is an opportunity for readers to come along and gain radical perspective on contemporary and historical events. Uri Gordon, renowned author and academic, will be speaking about his book “Anarchists against the Wall, which describes radicals involved in resistance against the occupation of Palestine. The book is published by AK Press who have a stall at the book-fair. Uri Gordon will be speaking and taking questions at 2.30pm.
Other speakers include local author Sarah Bradley and long-standing 1in12 club member Matt Hannam.
There will also be a live music event on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th, featuring performances by ZOUNDS, BLYTH POWER, ATTILA THE STOCKBROKER, Bradford locals HERCULES MORSE and a one-off appearance containing the remaining members of punk pioneers THE INSTANT AUTOMATONS, whom Protag was a part of. Protag (or Martin Neish) was a local DIY music legend and pioneer who died this year in February of cancer. The gig will be a benefit for the Marie Curie Trust. Prices are £5 (Fri) / £6 (Sat) for Guests of the 1in12 Club.
The 1in12 Club is run and owned by its Members and is a social centre located in the centre of Bradford on 21-23 Albion Street, Bradford, BD1 2LY.
