Stalls, books and Zines/ Talks and Poetry/ Games and Quizzes/ Film– My Buddha is Punk—Myanmar

As well as stalls from groups such as Anarchist Communist Group, 0161 Festival, PM Press/AK Press/Active Distro, Punk Ethics/No Sweat, Pirate Press, Cubesville, Under The Pavement Radio Show, Forged Books, Solidarity Federation, we have local poets, Husker Durruti, Tatty Hoggarth, KLM and Andy C, as well as a talk and the film My Buddha is Punk (following the punk band Rebel Riot in Myanmar).
Following the bookfair we have a games evening and DJ request show.

Free Entry (Games Night £2 entry fee) all proceeds to 1 in 12 Club, 21– 23 Albion Street, Bradford, BD1 2LY.

Talks/Poets/Performance 12.30 to 4.00pm held in the Café/Library on the 3rd/ Top Floor:

Talks/Poets/Films – All subject to change:

12.30pm to 1.30pm – Confessions of a Car Breakdown Call Centre – Michael O’Brien. Michael will be doing a shot talk about his book and experiences working in a call centre.

1.40pm to 2.40pm – My Buddha is Punk—Film following Rebel Riot Punk Band from Myanmar—donation bucket for Food Not Bombs Myanmar.

2.50pm – 4.10pm Poetry and Performance Art:

2.50 to 3.00 – Andy Carrington Yorkshire-based Punk-Poet doing-it-himself (since 2002).

3.05 to 3.15 – KLM (Keiron Lee Higgins – poet and social commentator.

3.20 to 3.40 – Microphone Jack stand-up performance-poet who combines cutting dry dark humour with social commentary.

3.45 to 3.55 – Tatty Hoggarth Bradford’s and the Club’s very own political poet

4.00pm to 4.10pm – Husker Durruti anarchist punk poet.

Find a book of Husker and Luke’s poetry (Rebel Rose Poetry) at the ACG stall.

Games Evening followed by DJ request show: 4.30pm to 9.00pm in the Café/Library:

Scheduled Games Competition – £2 entry fee or a donation (all money goes to the club!) – Prizes for winners: Run by our friends at Pirate Press and hosted by Tatty Hoggarth (check out their stall at the bookfair)!
